Sanolevox — antimicrobial eye drops
Sanolevox is used to treat bacterial eye infections caused by sensitive microorganisms. It has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity.
Pharmacological properties:
Levofloxacin is an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone group with bactericidal action. It inhibits the enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, disrupting bacterial DNA replication and cell division.
Effective against:
• Streptococcus pneumoniae
• Staphylococcus aureus
• Haemophilus influenzae
• Moraxella catarrhalis
• Pseudomonas aeruginosa and others.
Indications for use:
• Bacterial conjunctivitis
• Superficial eye infections
• Prevention of infections after ophthalmic surgeries and injuries.
Dosage and administration:
Adults and children from 1 year old:
• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours during the first two days (up to 8 times per day), then 4 times daily until full recovery (usually 5–7 days).
• The treatment course should not exceed 7 days without consulting a doctor.
