Cyanaro is an antibacterial eye drop based on azithromycin.
Cyanaro 1% is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including bacterial conjunctivitis. It has strong antimicrobial activity and prolonged effect, allowing once-daily use.
Pharmacological properties:
Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
• High concentration in eye tissues
• Resistant to beta-lactamase activity
• Long half-life allows for a shortened treatment course.
Indications for use:
• Acute bacterial conjunctivitis
• Blepharoconjunctivitis
• Infections of the anterior segment of the eye caused by susceptible microorganisms.
Dosage and administration:
• Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye once daily for 3 days
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or other surfaces
• Do not exceed the course without a doctor’s recommendation.
