Active substances (in 1 tablet):
• Candesartan cilexetil – 16 mg
• Hydrochlorothiazide – 12.5 mg
Pharmacological properties:
Candesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, blocks its vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-stimulating effect. Reduces blood pressure, improves heart function.
Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic, increases the excretion of sodium and water, reduces plasma volume, improves the antihypertensive effect of candesartan.
Indications for use:
• Arterial hypertension (in adults)
• Used when monotherapy is not effective enough
Method of administration and dosage:
• Usually 1 tablet 1 time per day, regardless of food intake
• The dosage can be adjusted by the doctor individually depending on the patient’s response to treatment
