Marvitense 20/5/12,5 mg 30 tablets
Composition:
Active ingredients in one tablet:
• Olmesartan medoxomil – 20 mg
• Amlodipine – 5 mg
• Hydrochlorothiazide – 12.5 mg
Pharmacological properties:
• Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (sartan), reduces vascular resistance and blood pressure.
• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, relaxes vascular smooth muscles, improves blood flow and reduces blood pressure.
• Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic, promotes the excretion of sodium and water, reducing the volume of circulating blood and lowering blood pressure.
The three components enhance each other’s action, providing a persistent and pronounced decrease in blood pressure.
Indications for use:
• Arterial hypertension (in patients requiring combination therapy)
• Maintenance treatment in patients who have not achieved target pressure on monotherapy
Method of administration and dosage:
• Usually taken once a day, preferably at the same time of day.
• Tablets are taken orally with water, regardless of food intake.
• The dosage is prescribed by the doctor individually, based on the level of blood pressure and tolerance of the components.
