• Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
• Sodium bicarbonate is an antacid; neutralizes acid and protects omeprazole from destruction in an acidic environment, ensuring its effective absorption.
Action: begins within 1 hour, maximum effect – after 2 hours, duration – up to 24 hours.
Directions for use:
• Usual dose: 1 capsule (40/1100 mg) once a day, 30-60 minutes before meals (preferably in the morning).
• Course of treatment:
o GERD, ulcer: 4-8 weeks
o If necessary: can be prescribed 1 capsule 2 times a day
Directions for use: swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not chew.
