Carboxymethyl cellulose sodium – 5 mg/ml (0.5%)
Description
Lacritears is a preservative-free ophthalmic solution containing 0.5% carboxymethyl cellulose sodium, designed as a tear substitute. It relieves symptoms associated with dry eye syndrome by mimicking natural tears and stabilizing the tear film. The formulation is gentle, suitable for contact lens users, and can be used in both adults and children.
Indications for Use
Dry eye symptoms
Tear substitute in cases of eye dryness or irritation
Safe for use with contact lenses
Dosage and Method of Administration
Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) 4 times daily or as needed.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface or the eye itself to prevent contamination or injury.
If used in conjunction with other eye medications, allow at least 15 minutes between applications.
Pediatric use:
The same dosage is recommended for children and adolescents, although clinical trial data is not available.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to carboxymethyl cellulose or any component of the product.
Precautions
Discontinue use if pain, redness, irritation, or changes in vision occur.
Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye.
Use with caution while driving or operating machinery as temporary blurred vision may occur.
Safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to negligible systemic absorption.

Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C.
Use within 30 days after opening the bottle.
